Systems Administrator

Job Summary The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of our clientsrsquo internal systems, and is accountable for effective configuration, installation, and maintenance of their hardware and software systems. The Systems Administrator must ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and all related procedures adhere to Whizkids company standards and values. This is a client-facing position in a support desk environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Design, implement, and support Windows Server 20162019, Exchange 201320162019, and SQL 201420162018. Provide IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Hyper-V and VMware. Implement and support disaster recovery solutions using StorageCraft recovery solutions. Support and implement remote access solutions VPN and Terminal Services. System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations. Implementsupport Windows3rd party patching, provide patch compliance reports. Review remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets. Communication with customers as required keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages. Responsible for entering service tickets, time, and expenses as they occur. Additional Responsibilities Occasional on-site client visits required. Occasional after-hours work required. Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly in a fast-moving environment. Service awareness of all organizationrsquos key IT services for which support is being provided. Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels. Business awareness knowledge of how IT relates to a clientrsquos business strategy and goals. Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customerrsquos needs. Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities. Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry. Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in similar IT related role. Two (2) year degree required or equivalent military service. Experience with Windows Server administration. Experience with Microsoft SQL server and Exchange server administration. Experience with RMM tool (Recommended but not required). Experience working at a managed service provider (Recommended but not required). Experience working with Microsoft Azure (Recommended but not required) Technical Certifications (1 required) or achieved within first year of employment.
