Associate Director of Medical & Clinical Operations, COVID Vaccination Program – Telecommute

The Associate Director COVID Vaccine Program is responsible for leading Clinical Operations for new contracts and shaping proposal responses of OptumServe’s Federal Programs. 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the National Emergency Team on design, development and implementation of new sites, new products and services, as assigned                                             
  • Solution complex operational and clinical issues in a timely manner
  • Be actively engaged with customer to drive flawless execution, gap closure, and value delivery
  • Work cross-functionally, making recommendations or clarifying information to assist in closing gaps that are identified or meeting customer expectations
  • Uses clinical and business knowledge and expertise to work with the growth and solution team to design and develop clinical programs that can be executed to contract
  • Develop / oversee / deliver operation and technical training
  • Develop policies, procedures and guidelines for service delivery
  • Review / approve policy, process and training materials
  • Evaluate compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory and organizational guidelines
  • Evaluate programs and services against contractual requirements
  • Ensure team members address gaps in performance against internal procedures and protocols
  • Apply metrics to evaluate services, employee performance and program outcomes
  • Read and interpret reports (e.g., performance, service)
  • Identify causes of performance deficiencies and determine appropriate follow up actions
  • Drive implementation of best practices and standards
  • Evaluate staffing ratios, stratification of care, overtime, agency usage or level of position to effectively manage labor expenses
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to foster a culture of clinical excellence and build collaborative relationships
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Agility to respond to shifting priorities and role requirements as circumstances change or unforeseen situations arise

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in your state of residence
  • 5+ years of direct supervisory and/or management experience 
  • Experience with computer and web-based applications
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment being adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to travel to sites for clinical oversight as needed (up to 25%)
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality experience and/or certification 
  • Managed care experience and/or insurance experience
  • Occupational health/infection control experience         
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
