This is a Full-time position in Maple Grove, MN posted July 17, 2021.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Direct Hire 100-115k + 7-10 Bonus Medical Device Industry Maple Grove, MN Front line engineer driving and supporting production team. Work with the production team to develop and execute monthly and quarterly build plans in conjunction with leadership team. This role drives technical excellence within the production team and provides training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Duties and Responsibilities Have excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and team leadership skills Defines, produces and implements documents including engineering drawings, equipment qualifications, and process instructions. Collaborates with Design Services, Operations, end Customer, and Suppliers to evaluate and influence designs for manufacturability and cost reduction. Designs, details, and implements process and equipment solutions which improve safety, quality, delivery and cost. Develops tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in manufacturing that optimize productivity, maintainability, and cost. Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions. Provide guidance to other engineers and technicians. Provide technical mentorship to engineers, operations team, and technicians Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction Qualifiactions Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar is required. 5+ years as Manufacturing Engineer Medical device industry experience REQUIRED! Demonstrated ability to work with engineering to transfer products into production and execute to a collaboratively developed ramp plan Demonstrated root cause analysis skills (analytical, problem solving, etc) and utilization of RCA tools. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. Familiarity of Continuous Improvement Theory (Lean, Six Sigma).
