Purchasing Assistant
PayRate: $20.00-$25.00/HR
Shift: 1st
CorTech is looking to hire a Purchasing Assistant in Eden Prairie, MN.
The Purchasing assistant is a Key role in the success of our organizations ability to meet our customers requirements. This role also supports the Corporate Office with administrative tasks.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma required; 2 year degree preferred.
• 3 years experience in previous administrative/office support role.
• 1 year Purchasing experience preferred.
Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Must be well organized.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excel and other basic Microsoft Office skills required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Purchasing Assistant = 90%
1. Monitor Purchase Orders from confirmation to delivery; work directly with supplier to resolve date issues, update system with confirmations and monitor shipment through receipt.
2. Work with shipping carrier to resolve any shipment errors, costs or documentation requirements.
3. Research and resolve invoicing errors.
4. Entering and storing vendor confirmations, PO justifications and maintain other document storage.
5. Support RFQ efforts by asking suppliers to quote materials, then update pricing and leadtimes in the system
6. Expedite orders as requested
7. Approve vendor freight invoices and report on freight costs, research issues and seek opportunities for improvement in freight
8. Answer questions related to eProcurement system and support staff by entering eProcurement orders
9. Support Purchasing Management by reporting on Purchasing metrics, then helping to analyze the report data
10. Perform other duties as assigned or required by Purchasing or other Management Staff

Office Assistant = 10%
1. Administrative duties to support the Corporate office such as ordering flowers, meals and office supplies. Document scanning, distributing mail and filing as requested.
2. Serves as main building contact with the Landlord to coordinate safety requirements and relay facility information to the staff.
3. Supports the front desk answering phones and greeting visitors when needed.
