Job DescriptionThe Branch Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of the dealership and is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations.   essential functions of the position:Creates, manages, and executes plans to increase sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.  Assists in monitoring progress towards goals and recording achievements.Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the dealershipEstablishes short and long term operating and financial objectives for the dealership within the Company’s overall plans and policiesEstablishes and maintains customer relations and is the final arbitrator between customers and department managersTrains and manages all Parts Department employees on dealership procedures and productivity requirementsOversees parts inventories and stock and re-orders when inventories drop to a specified levelKeeps records of employees’ work schedules and timecardsMaintains appropriate communications within and between various departments and functional areas within the dealershipKeeps records pertaining to requisitions, purchases, and salesEnsures the organizational structure of the dealership is efficiently planned and adequately and competently staffedPromotes an encouraging and safe workplace and adheres to Company policies and procedures including compliance with state, federal, OSHA, and DOT regulationsCoordinates and approves building and grounds maintenance needs knowledge, education and/or experience:College degree in business administration and/or operations management is preferredKnowledge of business and management principles and practicesSolid understanding of P&L management to ensure business plans are achievedA transportation industry background is a plusskills:Excellent managerial and administrative skillsInterpersonal and communication skills necessary to work with a wide variety of individuals and establish effective working relationshipsComputer skills necessary to effectively utilize word processing and spreadsheet computer software applications and internet servicesabilities:Proven ability to build, motivate, and maintain high performing teamsDemonstrated leadership ability and decision-making skillsValid driver’s license with a clean driving record Powered by JazzHRbkvuWStgxH
