Vice President of Optum Special Needs Plan (SNP) Solutions – Eden Prairie, MN or Telecommute

The Vice President of Optum Special Needs Plan (SNP) Solutions is responsible for our entire strategy, execution and P&L related to non-UHC special needs plans.

This includes product development, growth, oversight of the Market VP of West Virginia, and the VP for our third-party administrator strategy.

Additionally, the VP is responsible for the full product lifecycle management, including: strategy, design, development, and performance management of existing and/or new products and services.

The VP must be able to leverage marketplace insights to understand customer needs and identify new opportunities or adjust current product offerings including TPA solutions.

The VP is accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updating our product portfolio.

The VP will drive partnerships with current internal and external stakeholders (Stonerise, West Virginia Senior Advantage, Beacon Health Solutions and HAX) to define and drive future product direction, and also growth the health plan client portfolio.

Core Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, accountability, and responsibility for the oversight and performance of the External ISNP product and TPA organization.

Identifies opportunities for a growth pipeline and drives go-to-market strategy Designs individual client contract strategies and financial structures Manages the relationships and external vendors that support this business for external ISNP’s Reviews TPA performance against expectations and facilitates changes to ensure optimal performance Identifies acquisition and partnership targets that align with Care Services product and growth opportunities Monitor trends in the long-term care industry to inform strategy and product development Own the P&L for the External ISNP team Anticipate contracting with a minimum of 3 health plans in the next 2 years and grow the product to over 5 health plans in 5 years with potential membership of 15,000

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Proven experience and expertise in the health care system required
– health plans and/or health care delivery Proven ability to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems Demonstrated ability to effectively message, position and present information for client impact and influence.

Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and listening skills Proven ability to operate and effectively navigate in a highly complex, matrix environment.

Ability to successfully negotiate complex internal operating environments with a high level of collaboration Demonstrated track record of active collaboration, engagement, oversight and strategy development of key growth opportunities Excellent presentation skills with the expertise and sophistication needed to credibly represent Optum in the context of the company’s values and quality commitments Experience interacting at the C-Suite level to cultivate relationships and partnerships Strong leadership and vision, strategic, analytical and problem solving skills If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-apprved symptom screener.

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $169,500 to $322,500.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
